Communications Team Meeting – August 2, 2021

1. (John Lordan) Livestream in the shelter on YouTube
a. Graphics are in place
b. 3 spots for complete adoptions are in the cycle (livestream Room 2, promo’s). Looking for other content to use when camera is paused.
c. Launching to internal users on Saturday 8/7 pm
d. Suggestion made to add a camera (not 24/7) to the rooms with the sponsored cats (7, 8, 9)
e. More work is needed before we can launch this to all YouTube users; target date 9/1.
f. Suggestion to add videos sent from an adopter of one of our cats (with their permission)

2. Crowdfunding (Events Team)
a. Communications for personalized gifts
b. Follow-up communication in case others want to donate (a follow-up campaign)

3. Matching campaign just ended; an email to be sent

4. Sponsorship Communication
a. Possible collaboration between sponsorship and event teams for an in-person event
b. Sponsorship campaign to follow
c. Written sponsorship hand-out
d. Add a page about sponsorship in the upcoming Mewsletter
e. John’s suggestion: a monthly reminder (quick video) on a sponsored cat

5. Mewsletter
a. Next due September 2021
b. Kitty Cam; Mary to write content for a flyer (indicating a secret newsletter); Board members may have content ideas; can put some content about the Car Show.

6. Car show on Friday nights (Events Team)
a. Runs until 9/24
b. Needs more (and different) volunteers, including Board member commitment
c. Call for events team volunteers to be sent
d. Jessica, Vera, Betsy alternate as lead

7. Cat Video Festival (Events)
a. 8/12/21. Melanie just received a response regarding our request to participate
b. Looking into the timeframe, amount of work required if we chose to participate before confirming
c. If we participate, we do not plan to sell any items

8. Community drive for pet food (Jessica)
a. 2020 community drive was a success. Jessica volunteered to lead a 2021 event if planned.
b. Jessica will discuss with Dr Sue to determine ideas (food, cat litter)
c. Potential for Q4 2021 (near Thanksgiving)
