Celebrating November Adoptions

A Month of Gratitude and New Beginnings

November was a month filled with gratitude, second chances, and joyful new beginnings at Caring for Cats. We are thrilled to share that so many wonderful cats and kittens found their forever homes, from shy seniors to playful pairs to confident cuddle bugs, each adoption is a story worth celebrating. Here’s a look back at the kitties whose lives changed this month thanks to our amazing adopters and supporters.

Sweet kitten Joey was the first to find her new home this month. She’ll start with her very own room while she adjusts, and then she’ll be introduced to the resident kitty. Joey loved having her siblings around at the shelter, so we’re excited for her to have a new feline friend. Congratulations, Joey!

Cuddle bug Spritz couldn’t wait for his next adventure — he climbed right into his carrier when it was time to leave! After settling in, he’ll eventually meet the resident dog. We’re hoping for updates as this charming boy gets comfortable in his new home.

Sisters Potato and Turnip were adopted together, just as they’d hoped. Adopting kittens in pairs gives them companionship, confidence, and endless entertainment — and these girls will bring double the joy to their new family. Way to go, sweet girls!

Beautiful black panther girl Jolene stole the hearts of her forever family with gentle nudges and her sweet, quiet nature. She’ll be the only pet in her loving home, getting all the affection she could ever want. Best wishes, Jolene — enjoy being the queen of your castle.

Sweet Ebony turned on all her charm during her adoption appointment — rubbing, playing, and even showing off her belly. She knew exactly how to choose her people! Ebony is happy to be the only pet in her home, soaking up all the love. Congratulations to Ebony and her family.

This adoption is extra special. Siren had been waiting over a year, and Sassy Pants had waited more than seven months. They bonded deeply while rooming together at the shelter and now they’ll continue their lives side by side. Their new family hadn’t planned on adopting two, but the girls’ connection won them over. We couldn’t be happier for this devoted pair.

It doesn’t get much cuter than this cuddly sibling duo! Buster and Juni, who could often be found snuggled together at the shelter, charmed their family with purrs and red-dot-chasing skills. Now, they’ll be the only pets in their loving home and they’ll continue those cuddle sessions in comfort.

Handsome Whiskers found exactly the home he was waiting for: one looking for a friendly, affectionate, easygoing companion. He jumped right into his carrier, eager to start his new life! Whiskers will be the only pet and will surely thrive as the center of attention. Way to go, Whiskers!

Our sweet senior Bella found a gentle, patient family who instantly appreciated her soft personality and love of snuggles. She even rolled over for them — a clear sign of trust. Bella will adjust in her own quiet space before exploring the house, where plenty of windows await her birdwatching adventures. We’re overjoyed for this lovely 12-year-old girl.

Playful, social, energetic Anamosa showed off all her best qualities when meeting her new family — including curling up for a cozy snooze in her future human’s lap. She’ll join a home full of animal lovers, including two cats and a chill dog. After a slow introduction, we know she’ll flourish. Have fun, Anamosa!

Poppy’s story is one of patience and perfect timing. After waiting seven months for the right match, she met the family she had been dreaming of and she knew instantly. She leapt down to greet them, chatted nonstop, and wound around their legs with adoration. Poppy needed an adult-only, pet-free home with experienced cat owners, and she found it. This is the kind of happy ending we are truly thankful for.

Handsome Wizard has found his magical new beginning, complete with a new name, Merlin! He’ll settle in with his own space before meeting the resident cat. We can’t wait to hear how this charming boy blossoms in his new home.

Sweet, playful Paper impressed her family during her meeting by climbing into laps and proudly displaying her adorable white belly. Once she’s comfortable, she’ll meet the resident cat. Congratulations to this affectionate girl and her new family.

This delightful duo was adopted together after charming a family with their contrasting personalities, Friday’s bold, playful energy and Lucy’s quiet sweetness. They sealed the deal when Friday curled up in the mother’s lap, purring contentedly. These two will bring so much joy to their new home.

Sweet and mischievous Stinker happily trotted into his carrier to begin his new adventure! He will be introduced slowly to the two resident cats once he is ready. We hope for updates as he settles into his loving home.

Thank You for Supporting These Happy Endings

Each of these adoptions was made possible by the generous support of our community — donors, volunteers, sharers, fosters, staff, and adopters who believe every cat deserves love and safety.

As we move into the holiday season, we are grateful for every person who helped give these wonderful cats the chance to thrive.

Sponsor a Cat Like Tabitha

Tabitha was 2-years-old and looking for the purrfect home after the dominant male kitty in her previous home was picking on her. She was very shy since it was very scary getting picked on and it took her some time to adjust to life in the shelter. Caring for cats donors helped give her the time needed to find a loving patient family.  View our sponsorship page and sponsor a cat like Tabitha

Sponsor a Cat Like Jack Frost

Jack Frost was a 1-year-old stray kitty still adjusting to the shelter and he needed a quiet, patient home to give him love.

Our volunteers worked with him to show him how much he is loved.
