Reminding us all what's possible!
December was a joyful month at Caring For Cats, filled with happy endings, new beginnings, and plenty of purrs. We are thrilled to celebrate the cats who found their forever homes this month. Each adoption is a reminder of what’s possible when patience, love, and the right match come together.

Handsome Alex claimed his family the moment an empty lap appeared. He happily jumped right in, showed off his red-dot-chasing skills, and made it clear he was ready to be adored. Alex will be the only pet in his home, soaking up all the love and attention. Way to go, Alex!

These lucky girls were adopted together—even though they weren’t related or housed together at the shelter. Athena and Cascade will be gradually introduced in their new home and eventually meet their resident senior, cat-friendly dog. With a big house, toys, a screened-in porch, and lots of windows, they’ll have plenty to explore. Have fun, ladies!

Sweet Riley found her loving home and instantly showed off her playful, outgoing personality. With several children in the household, she’ll have no shortage of playmates. As the only pet, Riley will enjoy being the center of attention and having her pick of laps to snuggle in. Congratulations, Riley!

Beautiful Rock selected her family after charming them with her gentle red-dot-chasing skills and love of cuddles. She eagerly hopped into her carrier, ready for her new life filled with toys, towers, and affection. Rock will be the only pet in her home and will never be short on lap time!

Josie won the hearts of an experienced cat owner and her partner, who were searching for a companion for their young Ragdoll kitty. She’ll start out with her own space and enjoy a slow, thoughtful introduction to her new feline friend. We’re excited for this next chapter for sweet Josie.

Sibling kittens Salmon and Walleye are staying together—and we wouldn’t have it any other way! These two captured their family’s hearts and laps during their visit. They’ve already been renamed Juniper and Bonsai and will be spoiled and deeply loved in their new home. Congrats to this adorable duo!

Sweet, fluffy Stella found her perfect match after stealing her adopter’s heart with her friendly personality. She’s off to a loving home where she’ll be cherished every day. Way to go, Stella!

After patiently waiting eight months, beautiful Story has happily left the building! Her new mom is an experienced cat lover, and the connection was immediate. Story came down for pets and playtime, showing just how ready she was to blossom. She’ll be the only pet in a home prepared to give her the calm, loving transition she deserves. We couldn’t be happier for them both.

Sweet Sally decided it was time to go home—with one of our own CFC volunteers! Her affectionate nature sealed the deal. Sally will have her own space while she settles in, followed by introductions to a playful resident cat and a laid-back, cat-friendly dog. Have fun, Sally!

Stormy found her loving home just in time to become her adopters’ Christmas gift to each other. As the only pet, she’ll rule her kingdom and enjoy all the attention. We especially love knowing she enjoyed our Cat Tales – Kids Reading to Cats program and may have young readers visiting her again someday!

Honey showed off both her playful kitten energy and her cuddle-bug side during her adoption visit. With no other pets at home and a family that’s around most of the time, Honey will enjoy plenty of companionship. Visiting grandchildren—who already love cats—will make her life even sweeter!

Bonded sisters Trout and Minnow found their forever home together. When Minnow settled into a lap, the decision was made! Their new home offers big windows and wildlife views, giving these girls plenty of entertainment. Twice the fun and twice the love!

Handsome Smokey Joe joined a family that came to CFC through a glowing referral. He’ll eventually be introduced to his new feline sibling, Parker, after a slow and thoughtful transition. With a true “cat whisperer” in the family, Smokey Joe is sure to thrive.

Beautiful mini black panther Onyx made her intentions clear—outgoing, cuddly, and affectionate. She’ll be the only pet for now, enjoying all the attention, with the possibility of a future feline friend down the road. Happy holidays to Onyx and her family!

Pretty Mimi found her home and is delighted to be the only pet. She’ll begin her new life with her own quiet space to adjust before fully settling in. We wish Mimi and her family all the best.

Bonded brothers Checkers and Domino have found their forever home! These active boys will be the only pets, keeping their family thoroughly entertained. We can’t wait to hear updates once they’ve fully settled in.

Beautiful Hazel found exactly the right family—one that appreciated her independent spirit. She sealed the deal with playfulness, purring, and even a belly reveal! Hazel will be the only pet and clearly already has her family wrapped around her paw.
Congratulations to all of our December adopters and their new feline family members!
Thank you to our volunteers, fosters, and supporters who make these happy endings possible. We hope to receive updates as these cats settle into their forever homes.
