Celebrating the cats who found their forever homes this month
May was a month full of happy endings, second chances, and new beginnings at Caring for Cats. Fourteen cats found loving homes, and each adoption story reminds us that finding the right match is worth the wait. Some cats were adopted with lifelong companions, some became the center of attention as the only pet in their home, and others found families ready to provide patience, understanding, and plenty of love.
Luna Finds a Patient and Understanding Home

Sweet Luna has found her home. During her meet-and-greet, she showed off her excellent biscuit-making skills while enjoying a brushing session. Her new family has experience with shy cats and understands the importance of patience and slow introductions.
Luna will have a room of her own where she can settle in at her own pace. When she is ready, she will be gradually introduced to the family’s resident shy female cat. We wish Luna and her new family all the best as they begin this journey together.
Astro and Vesper Stay Together

These lucky brothers will continue their lives side by side. Astro and Vesper will be the only pets in their home, but they will have young twin sisters ready to provide plenty of love, playtime, and companionship.
We are certain these boys will keep the entire family entertained for years to come. Congratulations to Astro, Vesper, and their new family. We hope to receive updates as these kittens grow.
Buster Becomes the Center of Attention

Handsome Buster has found exactly what he was hoping for—a home where he can be the sole focus of affection. As the only pet in the household, he will receive all the attention and love he deserves.
When it was time to leave, Buster calmly walked into his carrier and began his next adventure. We wish him and his family many happy years together.
Ozzie and Buster Continue Their Friendship

When Ozzie and Buster first arrived at Caring for Cats, they were strangers. Over time, they became roommates, playmates, grooming partners, and close friends.
Now they will continue their lives together in a loving home with no other pets. Ozzie was more than ready for the adventure ahead, while Buster needed a little extra encouragement before entering his carrier. They will spend their first few weeks settling into a room of their own before gradually exploring the rest of the house.
We couldn’t be happier for these boys and look forward to hearing updates from their family.
A Perfect Second Chance for Clawdia and Patches

Clawdia’s journey to adoption began during January’s bitter cold when a compassionate cat lover rescued her from life as a stray. He cared for her, named her, and quickly became attached. When he learned she was pregnant, he made the difficult and selfless decision to surrender her to Caring for Cats so she and her kittens could receive the care they needed.
Even after saying goodbye, he never stopped thinking about her.
Months later, he saw Clawdia on our website and knew it was time to bring her home. There was only one complication: Clawdia’s foster family believed she would thrive with a feline companion.
Then Patches entered the picture.
Patches confidently greeted him during their meeting, and before long, Clawdia and Patches were chasing, wrestling, and playing together as though they had been lifelong friends. The decision became easy.
Clawdia is going home with the person who never forgot her, and Patches is joining the family as her chosen companion. We couldn’t be happier for this perfect trio and the wonderful second chance they have found together.
Comet and Nova Team Up for Success

Brothers Comet and Nova knew exactly how to make an impression.
Nova quickly settled into the daughter’s lap within minutes of the family entering the room, while Comet made his case by purring loudly and showing off his sweet personality. Their teamwork paid off when the family decided they couldn’t choose between them and adopted both boys.
Comet and Nova will continue being play buddies and nap buddies as the only pets in their new home. Congratulations to this handsome pair and their family.
Mia Gets Her Kingdom

Beautiful Mia has left the building.
Mia was ready for a home where she could reign as the undisputed queen, and that’s exactly what she found. With no other pets in the household, she can enjoy all the attention and affection for herself.
Congratulations to Mia and her new family. We know she will enjoy every minute of her royal treatment.
Ricky's Lucky Number Is 365

Ricky’s adoption came on a very special day—exactly one year after arriving at Caring for Cats.
Over the course of that year, Ricky watched many feline friends come and go while patiently waiting for his own family. When they finally arrived, he made sure they knew he was ready by rubbing against them and showing off his friendly personality.
With just a little encouragement, Ricky stepped into his carrier and headed home. He will be the only cat in the household, though he will eventually meet a resident chinchilla from a respectful distance.
After 365 days of waiting, Ricky finally found his forever home. We are thrilled for him and look forward to future updates.
Skyler Turns on the Charm

Skyler’s family thought he might be a good match, but they wanted to meet several cats before making a decision.
Skyler clearly understood the assignment.
He rolled onto his back, soaked up every bit of brushing and petting, and purred throughout the entire visit. By the end, he had completely won them over.
Skyler will be the only pet in his new home, which suits him just fine. He happily entered his carrier and headed off to begin his new life. Best wishes to Skyler and his family.
Stella Finds a Playmate

Sweet kitten Stella has found her forever home.
Her new family was searching for a companion for their playful, easygoing male cat and felt an immediate connection when they saw Stella on our website. During the meeting, Stella charmed everyone by playing, accepting cuddles, and even relaxing on a family member’s lap while the adoption paperwork was completed.
When the carrier appeared, every kitten wanted to investigate, but only Stella received an invitation to climb inside.
We are certain Stella will be loved, spoiled, and kept busy by both her human family and feline friend. Congratulations, Stella!
New Beginnings Made Possible by YOU
Every adoption represents more than a happy ending. It reflects the work of volunteers, foster families, donors, sponsors, and adopters who help each cat receive the care, patience, and time needed to find the right home.
In May, 14 cats began their next chapter: Astro, Buster, Clawdia, Comet, Luna, Mia, Nova, Ozzie, Patches, Ricky, Skyler, Stella, Vesper, and Buster.
Thank you to everyone who supports Caring for Cats and makes these stories possible. Because of you, more cats will have the opportunity to find the loving homes they deserve.
