July 2026 Adoptions at Caring for Cats

Aug 7, 2026 | Success Stories

Celebrating the cats who found their forever homes in July

July brought plenty of happy endings to Caring for Cats as 14 wonderful cats found families of their own. Some found homes as bonded pairs, some joined families with resident cats or dogs, and others will be the center of attention as their home’s only feline. There were returning adopters, new families, and even a few cats who found their perfect match almost immediately. Every adoption is a little different, but each one marks the beginning of a new chapter.

Cheetoh and Cinnamon

Bonded pair Cinnamon and Cheetoh have officially found their forever home together! Their new family, who has two dogs at home, was looking to add the purrfect feline duo to their household. After visiting the shelter a couple of times to make sure it was a great fit for everyone, they fell completely for Cinnamon and Cheetoh, who happily soaked up all their pets and affection. We’re so happy this sweet pair gets to begin their next chapter together.

Clara

Even on a sweltering summer day, one-year-old Clara kept her cool and completely stole the hearts of a wonderful returning family. They previously adopted a friendly, playful boy named Clay from Caring for Cats about a year ago and came back looking for an energetic companion for him. Clara proved to be the perfect fit, and we’re so excited to see her and her new big brother become best friends. Congratulations to Clara and her family—and to another CFC alum joining the family!

Claren and Clickity

An experienced cat owner came to Caring for Cats ready to fill her home with love again after losing her previous feline companions at incredible senior ages. She hoped to welcome a couple of young, active cats to begin a brand-new chapter. After meeting many of our cats, she knew Claren and Clickity were the perfect match. Their fun personalities and slightly more laid-back energy were exactly what she was looking for. We’re thrilled these two get to head home together with someone who will give them a lifetime of love and wonderful care.

Cloud and Clovebud

Cloud and Clovebud found their perfect match with a local couple who hoped to bring some youthful energy into their home as companions for their active 14-year-old cat. The connection happened quickly when the couple met the brother-and-sister duo in the kitten room. After some fun playtime, it was official! Their experienced new family has a careful, slow introduction plan ready to help everyone settle in comfortably. We’re wishing Cloud, Clovebud, and their new feline sister many happy years together.

Copper

Copper didn’t have to wait long to find his people! He was at the shelter for only a short time before completely capturing the hearts of a wonderful family. Copper is heading home to two human siblings, ages six and sixteen, who are ready to fill his days with playtime, attention, and plenty of affection. We have no doubt this handsome boy is going to be incredibly loved and spoiled. Happy tails, Copper!

Earl Gray

It’s always extra special when a former adopter comes back to Caring for Cats years later to welcome another kitty into their life. Earl Gray has found his match with a returning member of our shelter family who originally adopted from us way back in 2006!

Earl Gray is heading into a lively home with two canine companions, including an energetic nine-week-old Black Lab puppy. With a slow and careful introduction, we have a feeling these two may become fast friends—and give each other plenty of opportunities for daily playtime. Best of luck on your new adventure, Earl Gray!

Fabio

Sweet and gentle Fabio has found his forever home—and he’ll now be known as Sebastian! His new family was looking for a feline companion for their resident cat, Oliver, an eight-year-old Ragdoll with a mellow, friendly personality. They felt Fabio would be a wonderful match for Oliver’s relaxed vibe, and we’re excited to see these two build their own special friendship. Congratulations to Sebastian and his new family!

Lisa

Nine-month-old Lisa has landed her perfect match! Her adopters fell for her sweet, quiet charm while she lounged in her cat tube during their visit, and they knew she belonged in their family.

Lisa is heading to a peaceful, cozy home where she’ll be the center of attention. With no other pets and someone home most of the time, she’ll have plenty of opportunities for one-on-one snuggles, affection, and all the spoiling a young cat could ask for. Congratulations, Lisa!

Tanner and Yogie

Sweet and vocal brothers Tanner and Yogie have officially found their forever home together! This handsome bonded pair stole the hearts of a couple who turned out to be the purrfect match for them.

As the only pets in their new household, these two boys will have plenty of love, attention, and lap space—and we’re sure they’ll provide plenty of happy chatter in return. We’re thrilled that Tanner and Yogie get to start this exciting new chapter together in a home where they’ll be completely cherished.

Violet

Sweet seven-year-old Violet has found her forever home! During her adoption visit, she showed off her affectionate personality with head nudges, playful energy, and a few friendly meows to seal the deal.

Violet is heading off to be the only cat in her new household, where she’ll have 100% of the love, lap space, and attention all to herself—which is exactly how she likes it. We’re so happy for this beautiful girl as she steps into her well-deserved role as queen of the castle!

New Beginnings Made Possible by YOU

Every adoption represents a thoughtful match between a cat and the people who will love them. Whether a cat is looking for a feline friend, a quiet home, a family to play with, or simply a place where they can be the center of attention, finding that right match takes time, care, and plenty of people working together.

Thank you to the adopters who opened their homes, the volunteers and staff who helped each cat along the way, and the supporters who make it possible for Caring for Cats to be here for every cat while they wait for their forever family. We wish Cheetoh, Cinnamon, Clara, Claren, Clickity, Cloud, Clovebud, Copper, Earl Gray, Fabio (Sebastian), Lisa, Tanner, Violet, and Yogie many years of love, happiness, and wonderful adventures in their new homes.
