Celebrating the cats who found their forever homes in June
June was another wonderful month at Caring for Cats as 18 cats found the loving homes they had been waiting for. Some found families looking to heal after saying goodbye to beloved companions. Others joined homes with resident cats or dogs, where thoughtful introductions will help everyone settle in. Several close feline friendships continued into their new lives together, reminding us that every adoption is unique—and every happy ending is worth celebrating.
Handsome Tigger

Handsome Tigger won over his new family with his laid-back personality, playful laser pointer skills, and willingness to roll over for belly rubs almost immediately. Looking for a calm companion to match their easygoing, cat-friendly dog, his adopters knew they had found the perfect fit. Tigger happily climbed into his carrier and was ready to begin his next adventure.
Lovey Carl

Carl quickly captured the hearts of a wonderful family who was ready to welcome a cat into their lives after losing a beloved companion. His affectionate personality made an instant impression, and he is now settling into his new home, where he’ll eventually be introduced to two cat-friendly dogs.
Dreamy Dreamy

Dreamy lived up to his name by charming a couple searching for a companion for their resident cat. After showing off his playful side with wand toys and laser pointers, he curled up for cozy lap snuggles to seal the deal. When it was time to leave, Dreamy walked into his carrier all by himself, as if he knew his forever family had finally arrived.
Brothers Buttersworth and Hungry Jack

Brothers Buttersworth and Hungry Jack found the perfect home together with a local couple whose social orange tabby had been missing his feline friends after the loss of two longtime companions. These sweet boys will remain side by side as they help bring new joy to a home already filled with love.
Marley and Ramsey

Marley and Ramsey also get to continue their journey together. A wonderful family looking for a dynamic duo—and a pair that would fit in well with their gentle senior Chihuahua—fell in love with both cats. Marley shared plenty of affection while Ramsey proved they would make wonderful lifelong companions. Together they’re settling into their new home and preparing to meet their canine sibling.
Ashley and Xavier

Ashley and Xavier formed an unexpected friendship after arriving separately at Caring for Cats, quickly becoming inseparable as they helped one another grow more confident. A wonderful family, including a teenage son, immediately connected with the pair. Ashley happily accepted plenty of scritches while Xavier soaked up every chin rub he could get. We’re thrilled these two best friends get to stay together forever.
Playful CeCe

CeCe found exactly the home she deserved when a father and his two teenage children visited in search of a calm adult cat after several years without a feline companion. CeCe’s playful personality and gentle nature quickly made her the clear choice. She confidently walked into her carrier and headed home to become the newest member of their family.
Gentle Pepper

Pepper found the perfect match with experienced cat owners looking for a companion for their six-year-old resident cat after she lost her feline friend. Pepper’s gentle, affectionate personality was exactly what they hoped to find, and we can’t wait to hear how he settles into life with his new family and feline sister.
Batman and Cole

Batman and Cole began their journey together before arriving at Caring for Cats, and we’re delighted they get to continue it. A mother and son initially fell in love with Batman, but on adoption day they decided these friends belonged together and adopted Cole as well. Both boys eagerly climbed into their carriers, ready to begin their next adventure side by side.
Shy Ella

Ella found a loving home with a couple who recently lost their senior cat and were ready to open their hearts again. Although she can be a little shy at first, Ella warmed up beautifully during their visit. With experienced adopters giving her plenty of patience and a quiet transition room, she’s sure to thrive as the only pet in her new home.
Life of Leon

Leon didn’t waste any time making his feelings known when his adopters came to meet him. They had previously adopted from Caring for Cats and hoped to welcome another companion after losing their beloved kitty. Leon greeted them with enthusiastic headbutts, happy flops, and endless requests for pets, making it clear he had found his family. He’ll enjoy life as the spoiled center of attention in his new home.
Lucky Lucy

Lucy gave one of the best first impressions imaginable. As soon as her new family entered the room, she greeted them with headbutts, purrs, ankle rubs, and plenty of charm. Her experienced adopters are giving her all the patience and love she needs as she settles into her forever home.
Lyra & Maxxie

Lyra and Maxxie both captured the hearts of a family during an initial visit, and they returned a few days later to make the adoptions official. Although the two weren’t roommates at the shelter, they looked like they could have been siblings and quickly found themselves heading to the same home together. Their three young family members patiently learned about cat care, gentle handling, and slow introductions before helping welcome their new feline family members to Minneapolis.
