June is Adopt-a-Cat Month!

Our Adopted Kitties Bring Us So Much Joy

June is National Adopt-a-Cat Month, a time to celebrate the incredible bond between people and their feline companions.

Every year, millions of cats enter shelters and rescues hoping to find loving homes. At Caring for Cats, we’re proud to help make those happy endings possible. Last year alone, more than 200 cats found their forever families through adoption in North Saint Paul.

We know that when you adopt a cat, the impact goes both ways. Cats bring comfort, companionship, laughter, and unconditional love into our lives. Whether your Caring for Cats alum keeps you company during quiet evenings, greets you at the door, or makes you smile with their unique personality, they’ve likely changed your life as much as you’ve changed theirs.

Spread the Word! Older Kitties Make Great Companions

As we celebrate the power of adoption, we want to feature these over-looked but wonderful older cats waiting for their forever homes.

KayKay is a six-year-old, loving, chatty girl, ready to share her heart with a forever family. Learn more about meeting her and other cats we have available for adoption on our website.

And our special little Henri-etta, 9 years old and full of personality, was abandoned in January with only a blanket and a box.

Henri-etta has a chronic gastrointestinal condition that requires a prescription diet, but she is more than ready to share her love with a forever family.

Please note: If our featured cats are no longer available – we have plenty of other kitties looking for loving homes. See our adoptable cats on our Adopt a Cat page.

Sponsor a Cat Like KayKay

Every cat’s journey is different, and for sweet KayKay, the journey to a forever home is taking a little longer. While she waits, your sponsorship ensures she receives the care, comfort, and attention she needs each day. Sponsorship gives cats like KayKay the gift of time—the time to be seen, to be loved, and ultimately to find the family that’s meant for them.

Sponsor a Cat Like Rex

Some cats, like Rex, need a little extra time and understanding before they find their perfect match. Your sponsorship helps provide the care, patience, and safe environment that allows shy or overlooked cats to build confidence and trust. With your support, cats like Rex can blossom and find the loving homes they’ve been waiting for.

Sponsor a Cat Like Jane

Cats like Jane need a little extra care, time, and support before they find their forever homes. Through our sponsorship program, you can help cover medical care, daily needs, and the patience it takes for cats to heal and thrive. Your support gives cats like Jane the chance they deserve — and helps turn uncertainty into a happy ending.

Sponsor a Cat Like Tabitha

Tabitha was 2-years-old and looking for the purrfect home after the dominant male kitty in her previous home was picking on her. She was very shy since it was very scary getting picked on and it took her some time to adjust to life in the shelter. Caring for cats donors helped give her the time needed to find a loving patient family.  View our sponsorship page and sponsor a cat like Tabitha

Sponsor a Cat Like Jack Frost

Jack Frost was a 1-year-old stray kitty still adjusting to the shelter and he needed a quiet, patient home to give him love.

Our volunteers worked with him to show him how much he is loved.

Georgie came to Caring for Cats as s a 3-year-old shy stray. He was a mellow boy who enjoyed affection and snuggling with other kitties.
