Because of you, this year’s Stock the Shelter campaign was a wonderful success! Your support ensures full bellies, clean spaces, and the medical care needed during this busy time of year.
Kitten season is no small task, but with a community like you behind us, we are ready. Every contribution—big or small—made a meaningful difference in the lives of the kitties in our care.
Throughout April, we welcomed approximately 80 visitors and saw our community come together to provide:
– $4,416 of in-kind donations
– $9,115 in donations toward veterinary care
– $450 in gift cards
– 646 cans of food
– 244 pounds of dry food
– 411 pounds of litter
– 1,035 lickable treats
– And SO many more critical supplies for our shelter – tissues, paper towels, litter scoops, dust pans, and more!
It was more than just the numbers that made this campaign a success. It was the conversations, the connections, and the shared commitment to making sure every cat has what they need. Caring for Cats has always been a community effort, and moments like this remind us just how strong that community is.
A Special Thank You
We’d also like to share a special thank you to Emily, a student at St. Francis Middle School and member of the student council.
Emily was given the opportunity to donate $100 to a charity of her choice and chose Caring for Cats. She didn’t stop there. She organized purchase of the donations and personally delivered them to the shelter alongside her mom.
It was wonderful to meet her and see her compassion in action. Support like Emily’s reminds us that the next generation of animal advocates is already making an impact.
