Our organization continues to thrive through the efforts of our volunteers and in-kind donations of services and supplies, adoption fees, and monetary contributions. You can support the care of our cats and kittens with your donations, sending us something from our wish list, or becoming a sponsor.

$25 buys 80 pounds of litter
$50 covers one week of cleaning supplies
$100 feeds our adorable cats for one week
$200 helps offset adoption medical costs (complete physical exam, spay/neuter, rabies, distemper, feline leukemia/aids test, microchipping, and other treatments)

By including us in your estate plans, you can help ensure that our mission will continue to thrive for generations to come.
Some ways to leave a legacy with Caring for Cats
- Bequest in Your Will: You can name our organization as a beneficiary in your will or living trust. This is the most common way to make a legacy gift.
- Life Insurance Policy: You can name our organization as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy.
- Retirement Accounts: You can name our organization as a beneficiary of your retirement account, such as an IRA or 401(k).

Sample #1: Percentage Bequest
“I give, devise and bequeath to Caring for Cats, Inc. (tax identification number 41-1944601), a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation maintaining its address at 2550 7th Ave E, North St Paul, MN 55109, _______% of the rest and residue of my estate, for its unrestricted use.”
Sample #2: Bequest for a Specific Amount
” I give, devise and bequeath to Caring for Cats, Inc. (tax identification number 41-1944601), a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation maintaining its address at 2550 7th Ave E, North St Paul, MN 55109, the sum of $________, for its unrestricted use.”
Sample Bequest #3 Contingent Bequest
“In the event that (name or names; i.e., spouse, children, sibling, heirs) shall not survive me, or shall die during the administration of my estate, within ____ days from the date of my death, or as a result of a common disaster, then I give, devise and bequeath those beneficiaries’ shares of my estate to Caring for Cats, Inc. (tax identification number 41-1944601), a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation maintaining its address at 2550 7th Ave E, North St Paul, MN 55109.”

Reduce Your Taxable Income with a
Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
- If you’re 70½ or older, you can transfer up to $100,000 from your IRA to a charity tax-free each year through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).
- QCDs can satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) if you’re 73 or older.
- To qualify, the transfer must be made directly from your IRA trustee to the charity.
- QCDs are excluded from your taxable income and don’t require itemized deductions.
- Talk to your financial advisor to see how a QCD could be a smart way to support Caring for Cats before the year ends.

✅ Scoopable Cat Litter (Preferred: Either Masterpaws from Menards or unscented, scoopable litter)

✅ Canned Food: Cat and Kitten – any flavors!
✅ Paper Towels
✅ Kleenex
✅ 13 Gallon Tall Kitchen Garbage Bags (at least .8 mil. thick)
✅ 33 Gallon Draw String Garbage Bags

About memorial donations
Memorials are a thoughtful way of remembering a lost friend or family member. We will post your special message on the memorial page of our website for at least three months. Be sure to include the name of your loved one(s) and write a brief memorial message (20 or fewer words) after filling out the donation form.
